When the client says they want to change their positioning, you are left with a precise and determined brief about what avenues you can redesign and how to speak a different language that appeals to a challenging yet promising new beginning.
Mumbai based young gun and hotelier, redesigned an old art deco family property facing the Gate Way of India, to attract more European clientele. The shift to European market capitalises on the increased tourism in Mumbai.
The heritage building is a testimony and opening the website with the view to the sea which is something of a fixture for this metropolis was the highlight. Creating a virtual spatial experience as a testament to a consequential physical encounter is a fine balance of aesthetics and UX design.
The use of poetry also brings forth the old world charm of Mumbai and how it may seem to an outsider passing through the bay and how the hotel that sits right next to the likes of Taj, is an experience worth the charm and intrigue of busy Mumbai with an every changing seascape.
It borrows its trimmings from the Art Deco language which is nuanced throughout the website. The colours are borrowed from the Arabian Sea themed decor and essential furnishing and ambience of the hotel itself. The content design focusses with very refined elegant use of poetry by way of leading lines to introduce various aspects of the website.
The use of poetry also brings forth the old world charm of Mumbai and how it may seem to an outsider passing through the bay and how the hotel that sits right next to the likes of Taj, is an experience worth the charm and intrigue of busy Mumbai with an every changing seascape.
